Drop-side cribs — Banned in US since 2011
Second-hand car seats — Unknown history, expiration dates
Fancy bedding sets — Unsafe, expensive, unnecessary
Wipe warmer — Babies don't mind room-temp wipes
Diaper stacker — Takes up space, hard to access
Bottle warmer — Warm water in bowl works fine
The AAP recommends a bare crib: fitted sheet only, nothing else. Keep the sleep space simple and safe.
