Evidence labels
Pages distinguish manufacturer specifications, retailer data, expert review, and first-hand testing. The current catalog primarily uses manufacturer specifications and retailer data. We publish no numeric editorial score without a versioned rubric and a page-level evidence record.
Price freshness
Every price carries the date it was last checked. A price verified within the previous 48 hours is labeled verified; anything older is labeled with its last-checked date so you can judge it yourself. We do not hide aged prices, because a visible date is more useful than a blank field. Prices move, and the retailer is always the authority: use the retailer link to confirm the current price and availability before you buy.
Product ordering
Catalog order is not a safety ranking. Affiliate compensation does not determine placement. Where a page offers a curated verdict in the future, it must identify the criteria, evidence, author or reviewer, and review date.
Identifiers
Names, slugs, model generations, SKUs, GTINs, and manufacturer part numbers should agree and include a source where available. Conflicts are corrected before the identifier is treated as verified.
Safety information
CPSC recall notices and NHTSA resources are primary sources. Product pages do not claim that the absence of a matched catalog recall proves a product is safe. Visitors should confirm the exact model, date code, and instructions with the manufacturer and official notice.
Methodology changes
